Annual Holiday Exhibition

The gallery's annual Holiday Exhibition is now on display. Come enjoy treasures big and small spanning the 18th through 21st century. New works by contemporary New England artists are included, as well as American & European paintings by noted Maine artists Jay Hall Connaway, Abraham Bogdanove and James Fitzgerald, as well as by prominent French still life painter Antoine Vollon, British portrait painter John Northcote and noted British marine artist James Carmichael, among others.
During the months of November and December the gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. Closed Mondays, and open by chance or appointment on Sundays.

Autumn Arrivals
It is a wonderful time of year in Maine! The air is crisp and clear, skies are blue, and the leaves of the swamp maples are beginning to turn. Take a drive up Route 1 and visit the gallery! "Autumn Arrivals" opens on Saturday, September 24th and will feature new paintings by contemporary New England artists as well as recent acquisitions of 19th and 20th century American and European art, including paintings by Jay Hall Connaway, William Zorach, Abraham Bogdanove, James Fitzgerald and others.

Hopper Exhibit In Maine
The Bowdoin College Museum of Art is showing a wonderful exhibit of Edward Hopper's work through the fall. The exhibition is on display through October 16th. If you haven't had a chance to get to the museum yet, it is worth the visit! The exhibition showcases a grouping of Hopper's plein air Monhegan Island oil sketches, which are especially fun to see. "Travels Over the Seas: Italy, France and Beyond"

Come explore the Venetian canals to the back streets and cafes of Paris and Montmartre, and the English coast back to New York and Rockport harbors in our exhibition, "Travels Over the Seas: Italy, France and Beyond," opening Saturday. The exhibition focuses on European and American landscape and genre paintings from the 19th through the 21st century. A group of plein air paintings of Italy and France by Keith Oehmig will also be on display.
"Travels Over the Seas" will be on display through Friday, September 9th.
